Community Drives


Each year Palo Alto Swim & Sport participates in a handful of community drives to help give back to those in need.

Family Giving Tree

Palo Alto Swim & Sport has partnered again this year with Family Giving Tree, a Bay Area nonprofit that connects those who can give (that’s us!) with individuals in need of educational support, gifts, and volunteer opportunities. The impact of a wished-for gift can uplift a family’s spirits and help them create lasting holiday memories.

As part of their 36th anniversary celebration, Family Giving Tree has set an inspiring goal for this year’s Holiday Wish Drive: to provide 50,000 Bay Area neighbors with their very own wished-for gift! Let’s come together and help them reach this target!

How it works:
You can fulfill a wish in many ways:

  1. Choose a Wish Card at the Pool: More information below on how this works.
  2. Donation or gift card envelope: You can either mail in your donation or drop it off with us.
  3. Donate from the Most Needed Gifts list: Explore items that are needed to support our community.

Drive Dates:
Wish Cards are now available to pick up at Rinconada Pool.

The last day to drop off is December 2nd!!
Drop-off Locations:
You can return donations to Rinconada Pool.

Fulfilling a Holiday Wish Card

  1. Pick a wish card at the pool.
  2. Purchase a gift (and a toothbrush).
  3. Return the gift (unwrapped) with the gift card attached to one of the drop-off locations on or before Dec 2nd.
  4. You’re done! You’ve just helped make someone’s holiday brighter.

Additional info for a wish card gift:

  • Please take care not to misplace the wish card!
  • Please use scotch tape to attach the wish card to the unwrapped gift. Kindly tape only the top and bottom of the wish card.
  • Please include a pre-packaged toothbrush along with each gift
  • To avoid gift envy, please keep gifts’ cost between $25 and $50
